Field Museum | 1400 South Lake Shore Drive

Embark on a journey that takes you to dinosaurs, meteorites, and ancient Egypt. This eclectic collection has pretty much everything—from the eye-opening Hall of Birds (occupied by more than 1,000 taxidermied specimens) to an exhibition on the history and cultural complexity of Africa. Here's a bonus to bear in mind: Chicago residents get free entry to the Field Museum every Wednesday!

Art Institute of Chicago | 111 South Michigan Avenue

Chicago's world-renowned gallery houses a collection that spans centuries, including sculptures by Matisse, paintings by Whistler, and the breathtaking stained-glass Hartwell Memorial Window. Thanks to its ever-rotating series of exhibitions, there's always something new for Cascade residents to discover; until October 18th, you can marvel at the ballpoint pen-drawn landscapes of Joseph E. Yoakum.

Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago | 220 East Chicago Avenue

Twenty minutes on public transport from Cascade gets you to the MCA, which showcases a dizzying array of contemporary work. Right now, you can see Sulfur Cycle 2.0, a show in which Dan Peterman cuts into the walls to show how fossil fuels contributed to the museum’s creation; Orkideh Torabi's humorous Iranian bathhouse scenes; and Chicago artist Caroline Kent's abstract paintings, sculptures, and sound installations.

An Inspirational Stroll Around the Neighborhood

Art and history are everywhere you go in Chicago; just by exploring the neighborhood of your Downtown luxury apartment, you're sure to find something that sparks inspiration.

Within a comfortable distance of Cascade is Cloud Gate or more commonly known as ‘The Bean”—Anish Kapoor's liquid mercury-inspired sculpture—and Jaume Plensa's quirky Crown Fountain. Boeing Galleries features playful, sometimes jaw-dropping outdoor work by Christine Tarkowski and Edra Soto; Chicago Totem near Lakeshore East Park has been turning heads for decades, as has Picasso's untitled 50-foot steel sculpture on Daley Plaza.

Living in Chicago is filled with world-renowned museums, intimate galleries and even Cascade offers our very own Maker’s Space to provide our residents with a convenient and comfortable place to bring their projects to life.
